About this tool

Text case and cleanup tools without uploading

Count words and characters; convert uppercase, lowercase, title case or sentence case; and deduplicate, trim, sort or reverse lines.

Before you start

The reading-time estimate uses a general 220-word-per-minute assumption and will vary for different readers.

Are files uploaded to a server?

No. Your input is handled locally in the browser. Some tools load JavaScript libraries from public CDNs, but NowConverter has no file-upload endpoint.

Do I need an account or a paid plan?

No. The current version is free, has no registration and runs on devices with a compatible modern browser.

Can I remove duplicate lines?

Yes. The text tools can deduplicate, trim, sort or reverse lines, alongside word counting and case changes.

Text cleanup can change meaning if it is applied too broadly

Case conversion, whitespace cleanup and line transformations are convenient for lists, copied notes and data preparation. They can also alter acronyms, product names, code, URLs or intentionally repeated spaces. Work on a copy when the source has legal, technical or creative significance.

For structured data, a specialised parser is safer than treating everything as plain text. For example, changing case inside JSON values or code can break identifiers. Use the preview to confirm that the transformation affected only what you intended.

Practical checks

Practical walkthrough · text tools

Normalize a pasted column of headings

Example task: A copied list has mixed capitalization, duplicate spaces and stray line endings.

Try this workflow

  1. Paste a short sample and try the relevant text cleanup or case conversion.
  2. Compare line breaks and punctuation before using the result.
  3. Apply the same operation to the full list and keep a copy of the original text.

What to expect

Case conversion changes text representation, not its meaning; proper names and acronyms may need manual correction.

When to take extra care

Automatic capitalization can mangle product names, abbreviations or locale-specific characters. Verify structured data before replacing originals.
