Your file contents
NowConverter has no upload endpoint. When you choose a file, JavaScript running in your browser reads it and processes it on your device. The resulting file is downloaded directly to your device. We do not create user accounts, collect submitted file contents or keep a cloud copy of processed files.
Third-party code
PDF and QR tools load free, pinned JavaScript libraries from jsDelivr or unpkg when you open the tool. PDF Editor OCR Assist loads Tesseract.js plus OCR language-model files from public CDNs only when OCR is requested; the rendered PDF page is processed locally in your browser and is not sent to an OCR API. AI Image Upscaler loads ONNX Runtime Web plus a Real-ESRGAN model from public CDNs only when AI mode is used; the selected image is processed locally and is not sent to an AI inference API. AI Transcriber loads Transformers.js, ONNX Runtime components and a selected Whisper model from public CDN/model hosts when transcription is requested; audio/video decoding and speech recognition run locally, and selected media bytes are not sent to a speech-recognition API. Some video formats may additionally load the local FFmpeg WebAssembly engine to extract an audio track. ZIP processing uses a self-hosted script. The Buy Me a Coffee support widget also loads third-party JavaScript from cdnjs.buymeacoffee.com when you visit our pages and may display content from Buy Me a Coffee. Such requests can reveal network information, such as your IP address, to those providers. These scripts are not used to upload your selected files. If your privacy extensions block them, affected tools or the support widget may not work.
Hosting logs
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process routine request logs and network metadata to deliver the website and protect its infrastructure under its own policies.
Anonymous live presence and aggregate file counts
To power a private administrator-only dashboard, public pages may open a lightweight WebSocket connection to a Cloudflare Worker. The browser creates a random temporary identifier stored locally for up to 12 hours and sends only that identifier, the current page pathname (not query strings or selected filenames) and a coarse device class such as desktop, mobile or tablet. On tool pages, when files are selected or dropped, the service may also send only the number of files in that action so NowConverter can maintain aggregate totals such as files handled today and overall. Filenames, file sizes, file types and file contents are not sent with this counter. Live-presence details are used while connections are active to deduplicate concurrent tabs and show aggregate live counts; the numerical file totals are stored as aggregate counters. NowConverter does not store names, email addresses, selected file contents, selected filenames, IP addresses or a historical browsing profile in this service. Cloudflare may still process normal network metadata as the infrastructure provider.
Cookies, tracking and advertising
File conversion itself does not require a NowConverter account or NowConverter cookies. NowConverter includes Google AdSense code for site verification and, if the site is approved, advertising. Google and other advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar identifiers to provide, measure and personalize advertising where permitted. Google may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites. Users can manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings ↗. The embedded Buy Me a Coffee widget also loads third-party content and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy. Where consent is legally required, NowConverter will use an appropriate consent mechanism before personalized advertising is enabled.
Local downloads and the clipboard
Your browser may keep downloaded files and clipboard contents according to its settings. On a shared device, consider deleting downloaded files and clearing the clipboard after handling sensitive material.
Security limitations
Local processing is not the same as guaranteed anonymity. Malicious or damaged files, vulnerabilities in your browser, external resources referenced by some SVG files and device-level backups can affect privacy. Keep your browser updated and avoid opening files from untrusted sources.
Optional donations
Our floating Buy Me a Coffee widget lets you open a support panel while staying on NowConverter; other support links open Buy Me a Coffee in a separate tab. The widget is supplied by Buy Me a Coffee and may load even if you do not donate. Any payment information is handled by Buy Me a Coffee and its payment providers, not NowConverter.
