Are files uploaded to a server?
No. The input file bytes are processed inside your browser. Some tools download their JavaScript libraries from public CDNs, but the files themselves are not uploaded.
Re-encode a photo to remove its original EXIF information.
Enable JavaScript to use the tool.
A freshly exported PNG does not carry across the original EXIF block. This helps remove embedded camera location and other metadata from ordinary photos.
This tool does not inspect visible identifying details in the picture itself. It is not a guarantee that every possible metadata type has disappeared.

No. The current version is free, has no registration and runs on devices with a compatible modern browser.
Re-exporting removes the original EXIF block, but information visible in the picture itself remains. Review the finished image before sharing it.
Photos can carry information beyond the visible pixels. Depending on the device and software, metadata may include capture time, camera model, orientation, editing software and sometimes geographic coordinates. That information can be useful for organising a library, but it may be unnecessary when publishing an image publicly or sending it to someone you do not know.
NowConverter removes the original image metadata by decoding and re-encoding the picture. Re-encoding can also change technical details such as colour handling or compression, so keep the original if you may need its metadata later. Removing metadata is a privacy step, not a guarantee that the visible image itself reveals nothing about a location or person.
Example task: A phone photo is going to a public discussion thread and may contain GPS EXIF tags.
A newly encoded image can lose common metadata fields; re-check the result because formats and browsers differ.
Metadata removal cannot hide a recognizable address or location within the pixels. Preserve originals if capture date and camera details matter.
